This is an oil and multimedia painting on stretched canvas titled "Whats Inside Ruby". Media includes various materials incorporated into the painting, including tacks and a small battery-operated radio.The radio has special significance; I was listening to it at 5am on the morning that Hurricane Andrew hit Florida. I was living in Key West at the time and when the radio station stopped broadcasting, I said my prayers and went to sleep, not knowing what was coming.
