This painting is part of a series based on the nature preserve in Blanchard Park in Orlando. I love swamps; wierd as that may sound. I walk my dog every day in this park, keeping an eye out for alligators.
Having lived near this park for almost four years, I see the changes in the forest, some of which are subtle and some of which are sudden, such as hurricanes. I try to visit at sunset to capture the glowing leaves. I really love this painting and the colors in it.
