Shock Kitty

Art: Shock Kitty by Artist Virginia Ann Zuelsdorf
The inspiration for this painting was the antics of my dog Max and my cat Spook. Somehow, my cat was shocked by a power strip (I found it melted later). This is my depiction of the incident: Max tried to come in the back door but was stopped by my shocked kitty, whose hair stood up in jagged pieces.

This was done in my Fauve Expressionistic style. It's also one of my "word" paintings, which incorporate various words and or statements. Note the colors and the visible brush strokes. I used a palette knife for most of it.

This piece is unframed.
