I found the wooden monks in an antique store and they "drove" the chair. The top of the chair was also upholstered and when I took it apart, there was cardboard stapled to it! Unacceptable. So I made it into a kind of shelf (after pulling 187 staples). Denim upholstered seat. The serene, calm colors reflect what I think monks do: reflect, study philosophy, seek understanding.
