This painting took about 3 months to accomplish!
There are a total of 25+ different real dried orchids in this painting along with some other dried flowers.
All the orchids were grown in my SW Florida Garden, picked at the peak of their bloom and dried in the microwave!
I first established the painting with the molten waxes and painted about 20% of the flowers to shape the painting.
One by one the dried orchids and flowers were collaged onto the painting and "glazed "over and incorporated with clear wax.
