I was commissioned to do a Giverny pond painting for a collector to add to the others in her collection. I went through several paintings and pictures from Monet's pond and loved the green boat. I painted the green boat in the pond in several different compositions. This study is in preparation for a very large pond painting I plan on keeping for myself.

The Green Boat at Giverny was painted using professional artist grade acrylic paint on a museum quality canvas panel. Painting was finished with a light coat of varnish.
