This is a portrait of my two children Miranda and Courtney. I originally took the picture in 1994. They are now 24 and 20 years old. In 2002, I began the painting. I decided to paint it in the "Old Master Style" with the underpainting in black and white and then glazing the color over it. --Being self-taught, I checked out books at the library. Well, I moved to my new house with the nice studio in 2003 and worked more on the portrait, briefly. In November 2005, I started selling my art online and have been busy since. I do plan on finishing the portrait, now that I have dug it out of the back of the closet. But....business is good, so maybe when I get more time.....
