This “Coffee Hound” is an original acrylic painting enhanced with colored pencils. The piece measures 4 x 6 inch, postcard size. The purple basset hound is painted on watercolor paper. The coffee cup is painted on a separate piece of watercolor paper, cut and pasted onto the hound. This is mounted to a base of illustration board. Finally, it is sealed with several coatings of matte gel medium for protection. Wisps of coffee aroma don’t quite get this droopy dog dancing. Woof, he really needs to lap down a cup of joe. This one of a kind, all original collaged painting is my entry in the Nibblefest Art Contest, a themed art contest beginning on the 20th of each month. This month's theme is COFFEE.
