Strange almost prehistoric creatures....carrying around their house on their back. No tax housing!! Turtles are also an early childhood memory. When I was about four years old we lived on the outer edge of the New Jersey pine barrens in a log cabin. I roamed the woods with four other kids and our biggest find was a turtle. Facinating little creatures. Every once in a while the turtle makes its way into a painting here and there. This Watercolor is done on Arches 140 lb Hot Press watercolor paper using Winsor Newton and Sennlier paints.
