Seems there are a lot of missing insects in the garden this year.The butterfly is one of the MIA critters along with honey bees. That is the reason I had to paint a butterfly and bougainvillea piece. Colors are much more intense in reality. This painting is rendered on Arches 140lb. Hot Press watercolor paper. I use Sennler and Winsor Newton watercolor paints. Am still hunting for the perfect brush!!
