I swear that I remember being told as a child to watch out for worms when you bite into a red ripe apple. Maybe that has been the thing that keeps me from just chomping down on a fresh gorgeous apple to this day. Deep down I am convinced that there is a nasty ugly little worm waiting for me to take a bite. I would never survive out in the wild eating bugs and snakes. I have to cut an apple into little chunks before I can enjoy this fruit. Strange how little childhood memories creep into our paintings. This watercolor was done on Arches 140 lb hot press watercolor paper using winsor newton and sennlier paints.
