Sometimes these gulls just seem like the lonliest birds!! Especially in winter time. Summer at the shore is their time to thrive and rule. They can even chase away people if they put their mind to the task.Feeding the gulls is a dangerous undertaking.....have you ever tried to feed gulls from your car!! Big mistake if there are a bunch of them in the vicinity they will all land on top of your car....it makes you feel as if you are in an Alfred Hitchcock movie...only these birds are much larger than black birds!! when they are hungry they can be fierce.
