This is a many layered acrylic and soft pastel abstract painting. The texture reminds me in places of stone. I am quite pleased how this came out. My favorite artist is Chagall for his inspirational paintings, drawings and stained glass works. His dream like quality and the religious undertones of his works inspired me to explore my own spirituality. Golgotha is the place where Christ was crucified - Calvary.The crosses are falling away...as we don't need to bear them any more. Frame measures 43x31".
