Ambient was born while I was listening to one of my favorite radio stations. They play ambient music. I was thinking about color and how they can create an abstract landscape within the borders of a canvas or piece of paper. After I've been working on an oil painting, I like to do a watercolor and get back to a softer side of painting. I like how you can layer the paint and still see the surface. Ambient was painted on nine canvas boards, 11x14 each. The painting measures 42x33. I am planning on making a frame for this piece and keeping it together as one.
