For as long as I can remember I've enjoyed making things.  However, coming from a long line of perfectionists as I do, I'd quickly give up on a craft (and on myself) as soon as it became evident that I wasn't achieving my ideal.

I came to beading by accident, and cannot say why I persevered with it, despite early efforts that were as far from perfect and as clearly amateur as it is possible to be.  That's not something I care to examine too closely.  The fact was -- and remains -- that I am in love with beads, with stringing them, with weaving them, with experimenting with them, and (on occasion) rolling around naked in them. 

I'm not content with an ability to work with beads.   I'm teaching myself  to solder, and perhaps, someday, to do even more ambitious metal work.  All attempts to date to master polymer clay have met with signal failure, but I hold out some hope for dichroic glass.
