I didn't have a title for this piece, the 5th Installment in the Persian Rug Series, so I asked that the winning bidder come up with a name. It now has the title of "Nowruz Blessings" named after the Iranian New Year that takes place on the first day of Spring. People visit and eat and get new clothes. Flowers are a traditional gift, and decorated eggs are a traditional food for Nowruz, so the name fits just perfectly! Thank you so much for coming up with such a special name!
The design features two florally rich medallions in a bright ruby red and butter yellow against a deep blue sea of little grey/blue flowers. As with all my eggs, it is etched to enhance the design, some areas are raised against the background to create a three dimensional effect. Five shades of dyes were used not including the natural white of the egg.
