This particular egg is the fourth to be released in the Persian Rug series and is only the 11th original design that I have released to the public this year.

This design is titled "Hossainabad", an area famous for creating it's long runners, most often with a central diamond shaped medallion and an all over floral theme.

The real eye catcher on this egg is the "fairy tale path" of flowers that make up the band set against a wonderful cream colored background. The combination of rich ruby reds and chocolate browns give this egg a romantic antiqued look.

As with all my eggs, it is etched to enhance the design, some areas are raised against the background to create a three dimensional effect. Seven shades of dyes were used not including the natural white of the egg.
