Every spring I take my daughter to the children's garden at Michigan State University. It's our place to pretend we are in another world - we hide in the trees where all the characters from Winnie The Pooh reside, climb into a giant spider's nest, ride a train to nowhere, hide in a maze made for Alice in Wonderland, and walk over the bridge where the water lilies are. The pond there is full of goldfish and the lilies look so beautiful.
On this day the sun wasn't shining but the lilies were in full bloom. I shot the picture anyway, using my Canon T-&0 and 200 speed film. I decided I would add my own sunshine in Photoshop and used the watercolor filter to give it more of an Impressionist feel.
This piece is approximately 8 x 10" and printed on archival paper.
