This is a mixed media piece that was done using lots of found objects, wire, polymer clay, Pearl-Ex & Acrylic paints, bits from a feather necklace, beads, charms, and granite crystals.
I made the face using polymer clay and painted it with Pearl-Ex and acrylic paints. A green rhinestone is affixed to her forehead. The face is lined with granite crystals that are adhered with Golden Gel Medium. Her body is an old silver pendant that I had from childhood - affixed is a plastic butterfly heart. The legs are constructed from wire, beads, and charms. I thought the man-in-the-moon charms looked much like claws making them a good choice. Her front legs are posed in attack mode, but she is the nymph of fertility so my guess is that she is not getting ready to fight. Luna Mare has a wire hanger in the back so you can hang her, or you can lay her out and pose her however you'd like. She has moveable parts.
