This is the thought I live by when it comes to my art. I used to be very uncertain about my skills, and could very easliy slip into thinking 'why try to draw this or paint that, because I will fail anyway'.
Until one day I decided no more! I will challenge myself with each painting, and just do it!
More information:
I'm a free-lance, (mostly) selftaught artist.
During the day I run my store, the Collectors Company, in the center of Rotterdam, where I also sell my own artwork. To check my page in the store's webshop, please use this link Collectors Company Starlane Art
Or you can follow my personal blog www.saskiasaers.com, where I post my works-in-progress and finished paintings and illustrations.
Furthermore I have online galleries at Deviantart, Elfwood and Artwanted. In 2013, one of my paintings was featured on the cover of the Rejected Quarterly, a literary magazine.
Personal information:
I live in the lovely harbor city of Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Here I enjoy life to the fullest together with my hubby-to-be Paul.
I've been drawing all my life. In 2010, I really started getting serious about drawing, painting and my skills. I've always been into fantasy related art, and that is what I mainly create myself. However, I don't like boundaries when it comes to painting, so sometimes I will create something completely unrelated to fantasy.
In 2012 I started following art classes with a Dutch artist, and I could see my skills improve every week.
Thank you for visiting my profile and my gallery. I hope you like what you see.
