This piece was inspired by all the animals left to fend for themselves...particularly cats. I worked in the animal field one way or another all my life...I still have friends that do and one of them works at a local shelter where they are absolutely overloaded with animals now more than ever...due to the economy people are turning them in right & left...or just letting them go. This just breaks my heart. Whoever gives these kitties a home will be helping stray & unwanted cats because the proceeds of this piece goes to Alley Cat Allies! I created this piece on a 5x5 inch stretched canvas...staple free sides are painted black so no need to frame! I finished it with an acrylic varnish to protect and enhance. This is an original Olga painting....not a print!
