Fortunately for them the aliens just want to catch a bunch to take back to their ship and rub and pet them with their Handibular Tactile Feelers.

They only have feelers on their palms and have found nothing is as soft as the hair on a hare.

There are bunnies on other planets but not near as abundant as here on earth.

They say earth's bunnies are the softest in the galaxy and worth a pretty penny or whatever your planets currency might be.
