This is a picture of Herman’s mother’s mother, Molly Goode, April 24, 1923. Legend has it that Molly was a star with the Ziegfeld Follies when she first saw her husband Renaldo flying for Ringling Brothers and fell head over heels for him. However, it wasn’t until 3 years later when Renaldo was called from his post at the door of the Roxy Theater to help Molly extricate her thumb from her ear that they first spoke.
