This is a picture of Jack (the name infuriated the dog), a rare brilliant blue-eyed terrier, in his favorite chair, September 23, 1970 as he overheard Uncle George tell Herman that all dogs are color blind. Jack replaced Spike in Uncle George’s life after the 1969 Valentine Portrait fiasco (Say “Cheese!”). Up to this moment Jack loved Uncle George dearly, but took this statement as a personal affront as he himself had decorated the yellow room with the red chair. Jack was on the next bus to Toledo.
