This is a picture of Santa and Dancer as Herman remembers them Christmas Eve 1973. Santa was surprised. Dancer had expected this might happen for some time. Herman was quite excited about actually seeing Santa and the presents around the tree. However, Herman has never quite understood why Santa brought Dancer into the living room and why Tony Bennett singing “White Christmas” was playing softly on his new stereo.
