“Sunday Rain” is an abstract representation of the recent torrential downpours I have experienced every Sunday for the past month. It seems that every Sunday...it would rain...rain until the clouds were squeezed dry. The rain drops so large that they would seem to pull everything down out of the sky and permeate the ground in terrific patterns. This is what I try to transmit on the canvas.
All the colors are earth tones. The colors range from deep blues to brick reds to a specific cross hatch pattern of gold. A few thick 3-D grasses and a few strong dragonflies stay strong in the rain.
This is a gallery wrapped canvas with staple free edges. The sides are painted in a satin black. One extra stretcher bars through the back for extra support. This painting is coated in a high quality artist varnish to retain its original beauty for many years to come.
I only use Professional Golden Acrylics and Organic Mediums.
