Numerous layers, heavy layers of glass, acrylic and pure silver leaf envelope the dragonfly. This is my interpretation of how our earth’s crust preserves lovely pieces of our past to help us decode the future. One large dragonfly coated in glass spheres and thick acrylic is enveloped in time and space in between my canvassed “Verdant Stratum”.
This painting is very detailed and will change color depending on the light in which you view it.
It’s quite textured and covered in several layers of glossy varnish to protect the pure silver leaf and glass spheres.
This is a gallery wrapped, staple free, ready to hang stretched canvas. This painting is coated in a high quality artist varnish to retain its original beauty for many years to come.
I only use professional Golden Acrylics and mediums.
