This is an original piece done on 140 lb. acid free Carson watercolor paper. The majority of the work is done in watercolor. Acrylics, colored pencil and ink have also been used on this piece. The subject of this piece is a stunning feral cat, that resides in fellow artist and friends yard. His name is Blackjack Ali and he is the subject for this weeks' challenge for one of my groups "Animal Loving Artist". To find more Ali's search ALA Ali. I have been truly inspired by the beauty of this animal and have done 5 paintings of him so far. Two of the paintings I've done are currently at a local gallery, 'Designer Taste Gallery' here in San Diego. Another I donated to a silent auction to benefit SNAP "Spay Neuter Action Project" It feels great to do my small part. And 2 paintings are being offered here. I'm sure I will paint more of Blackjack Ali in the future. I love his telling eyes of a tough feral life. Hope you enjoy.
