![]() Welcome to my profile here on EBSQ! I'm glad you took the time to see this page. I love creating original paintings and I sell them on etsy, if you have time please take a look at my etsy store. My painting style encompasses both modern abstract pallette knife paintings, passionate cherry blossom paintings and so much more. The person who first inspired me to paint was my grandmother. She is a 'Bauernmahlerin' (folk art/tole painting mostly on furniture) in Switzerland, and ever since I was able to stand I've been watching her paint. She is a well established folk artist in Switzerland and her many pieces of painted furniture and national magazine entries are a manifest to that.

My style has been evolving since I first started painting about ten years ago. I have painted very retro/cubism looking martinis, very many poppy and cattail paintings and then I moved on to a more Asian style with bamboo, plum and cherry blossoms. I also love to create more abstract creations especially with passionate colors. I am mostly self-taught, and my education doesn't really have anything to do with art. I am an electrical engineering graduate which gave me lots of patience and endurance, and the knowledge on how to build an autonomous robot! I've also done some creative freelance writing and earned some money that way. Now I get to do the fun stuff - paint all the time! My favorite things to paint right now are Asian Styel Cherry Blossoms, Abstract Landscapes and Elephant Silhouette Sunsets. I paint something new almost every day.
Right now I stay at home with my three little kids, they're my pride and joy, and my little daughter said to me just the other day, "I want to be an artist when I grow up, just like you". That makes me so happy! But I still think she should go finish a degree before she does this.. just in case! ;) But her talent shows itself every day and she just won her first art award at school! Anyways, enough about me for now, I have to go and paint! ;) Thanks for looking at my profile! Check out my web page if you have time too, or check my portfolio on EBSQ, I finally took the time to add some of my sold paintings to it. I just sold painting #1300 so there are lots of them.. I just don't have time to make an online gallery of all of them :) |
