This box was something that my mom had given to me, only it was plain, really plain. She found it at a yard-sale. I wanted to brighten it up and decided to "paint" the "faerie and roses tile" with enamel nail polish!!! (I finally found a way to use some of those bottles of polish I keep collecting!) This tile is painted with nail polish only . . . nothing else! It's 3-D and the nail polish really makes this "pop" out! The box is painted with acrylic "vanilla", the words; "Friends give full color to our lives" are added under the tile and sealed with satin varnish. Both top and bottom pieces are lined with blue felt inside the box. These photo's don't do this piece justice. I hope that you enjoy my "Rose Box".

PS: A little info. ~ Since these photo's were taken I trimmed the felt sticking out from the bottom of box and touched up the color of the rose around her arm & leg. I only had a super short time to get it entered in the contest and knew if I tried to take new photo's of the box I'd miss the entry time. Didn't know if it's fair to change photo's . . . so I left it as is.
