Lori Flagg

Artist's Profile

I love to paint. I started painting as a child, studying art wherever and whenever I had the chance. I have ventured into many different art forms, ceramics, needlework, mosaics, woodworking but always come back to painting. My subjects are the animals that I hold so dear and near to my heart. My goal is to capture as many of the worlds exotic animals onto canvas so that we may never forget their awesome beauty and the impact they make on our world. That said, I also love to capture the essence of pets. They bring so much joy into our lives. When I do a portrait of someones pet I try to paint the love that pet brings to its owner. The sparkle in the eyes, the way they cock their ears. All those things that make a pet special. Among other hobbies, I belly dance with troupe LSJ throughout Southern California. This activity has enhanced my artistic outlook and brought be into another realm of creativity. Recently I have been venturing into another aspects of art and nature. I have been expanding my subject base aspiring to broaden my scope of talent.
