This painting was inspired by a photo with teapots in a similar arrangement. This simple painting started as just a study of form and an attempt to take a new look at something I see everyday and usually try to clean up and put away as fast as I can (I did have to borrow some of these pots, however, they are not ALL mine!) I chose a black background to focus attention on the forms and I arranged the pots to look as if they were a little porcelain army marching towards me. Although this is a still, I wanted to give these dishes an energetic look. Support Art!!
