The painting is about being there but not really. Being in all conversations and the rushing around and the habitual activites but being completely absorbed by your own thoughts that you are hidden within yourself. You surface enough to take a peek out at the chaos but sink back within again. This abstract painting is acrylic paint and magazine clippings. I hoped to convey movement and friction within the painting.
