This is a digitally altered photo of my daughter. Her great-grandmother, my "grandma", is a breast cancer survivor. She had a mastectomy when she was a young woman, before she ever began her own family. Grandma's mother before her died from cancer, when my grandma was eleven years old.

This little gal is who I think of when I think of breast cancer, because it is our heritage, but hopefully not our future.

I thought an image of her, especially since she is holding a pink flower and wearing a pink ribbon, was an apprpriate image for me for the Think Pink Show.
