Poseidon, the God of the Sea, was in love with Demeter, the Goddess of the Harvest. She did not return his affection. To put him off for awhile, she told him to make her the most beautiful animal that anyone had ever seen. He retreated to work on this desire in anticipation of her love and created the HORSE. BUT, by the time he completed the horse, he was in love with another! The world is a better more beautiful place with this magnificent creature! Laurie Pace
