Art: Ballerina Iris Mosaic Wine Carafe (Available) by Artist Laura Winzeler

WOWZA! This will pop your eyes out. (In a good way, of course.) I used two of my very favorite Universal Potteries Ballerina patterns, the Iris and the Fruit and Flower pattern. I chose to use all patterned shards and no solids for maximum detail. Against the concord grape purple grout, it so works. A strand of rose quartz beads encircles the top, and a strand of bright pink glass beads, the bottom.

The carafe stands 7 1/2" tall and is 4 1/4" across the open part of the mouth which allows room for most bottles of wine plus one of those handy dandy freezable wine chiller sleeves! It has been sealed for protection and signed by me, Laura! This reminds me of my first bedroom as a little girl...all pink and purple. It took me decades to like those two colors again, but now I see why I was attracted to them so early in life. Lovely harmony when paired.
