My newest mosaic embellishment passion is vintage jewelry, and this wall clock confirms it! I used some of my favorite brooches and earrings to mark each of the twelve numbers. The four-leggeds are represented here by a dog, a cat, and a squirrel. The winged ones include two birds, a butterfly, and dragonfly. China used includes Royal Cauldon Bentick and Dorset patterns. The addition of the 8mm Red Jasper beads on the edge and the green and gold mirror tiles tied the whole piece together beautifully. If you are easily distracted by shiny objects, you'll probably never get anything done with this in the room!

I chose antique white grout and metallic emerald green paint for the edges and back. The clock measures 14" tall and is perfectly round. All you need to enjoy your own "mystical moments" is one AA battery. I can't help thinking that this would be the perfect gift for a veterinarian's clinic, but anyone who loves critters and colors (and who doesn't???) will flip for this truly unique work of art, lovingly crafted, piece-by-piece.
