Original Painting of Key Largo, John Pennecamp State Park's "Christ of the Deep". The third casting of a nine foot bronze statue commissioned by the underwater society and donated to the state park. The Christ of the Abyss is the 1st casting and is in the Mediterranean Sea. This is a mixed media painting with lots of texture used to simulate the etching, the building up of barnacles and coral on the statue. Moorish idols are the fish swimming about.
