I was inspired to paint this piece when I say rain dropping on my glass patio table, leaving small and large rings. But as I was creating it, I saw in it a more human concept. It looked like small pieces breaking off from a whole. I thought how we, as people, touch each other's lives and give each other a part of ourselves. This was my inspiration as I went on to finish this painting.
