Every year I do a version of these pieces---sometimes as rattles or shakers, sometimes as ornaments or papier-mache boxes. This year I decided to put them on a wood base so they could be free-standing. These pieces are based on vintage Halloween ephemera... just look at those cheesy grins! Created with acrylic paints, papier-mache heads, wood dowels, wood bases and raffia bows, each has its own charming appeal. This trio looks as if they're up to no good, don' t you think?
