Born and raised on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, I was formally trained as an artist at Rhode Island School of Design. I consider myself primarily a painter, however I enjoy working in different media. My paintings have been displayed locally (Massachusetts & Rhode Island) and my artwork and jewelry sold nationally.

Painting is very visceral- My passion is in the process- to explore the different means of communication and self-expression. Art is everyday life. It can be practical or it can simply be a visual experience. The creative mind is often fueled by desire, something that drives from within that may not easily be explained.

My paintings explore flowing organic shapes, often inspired by plants or landscapes. I am drawn to contrasting highlights and shadows and interesting color combinations. They are alive without really being alive- growth, subtle movement, and emotion.
