Original ACEO by Hiroko Reaney. In Japanese, 'kai' can mean 'ocean' or 'shell'. This name is special because 'Kai' also happens to be my daughter's middle name. This ACEO is the most beautiful mermaid painting I've made so far, so I thought it'd be nice to name it after the most beautiful person I know. There are touches of irridescent (shiny, color-changing) acrylic paint on the shells, pearls, scales, eyes, and lips. This is a very tiny painting! It is part of my Mermaid ACEO series.
