Original ACEO / miniature painting by Hiroko Seki Reaney. This is the second in a series of angel paintings I will be working on. I love fashion so the dresses of my angels are very contemporary (the dress pictured is meant to look like the feathers of a bird). I kept the colors light to give a peaceful atmosphere. There was minimal pencil sketching (meaning, everything was done just by eye), which was a challenge for me since I usually make heavily detailed sketches before painting. The fine lines were achieved by a caligraphy pen dipped in acrylic paint. I just love angels and imagine them as beautiful, caring spirits that watch over us. I hope you like them as much as I do!
