One of my favorite subjects to paint. My companion Isis the Ragdoll cat. She has so many expressions, some are funny, some are very funny, especially when she puffs out her fur and curves her body like a Halloween cat, and others are just plain sweet.

This is one of her favorite pleading expressions, Isis uses it whenever she wants something and chirps at me thinking I understand her language. And looking into those eyes I do understand, and wanted to share that in a portrait of her. The light taupe Sennelier soft pastel allowed the softness of the bluepoint color to blend nicely into the white of her fur without making it too dark a gray.
