Hilltop winds whistle through her branches, chilling the world. She reaches for the moon when it is full, the cold clear light strengthening her roots.
This is an original, on eof a kind sculpture. Her head, upper limbs, and torso are hand sculpted from polymer clay over a wire armature. The trunk and roots are plaster of paris cloth strips over wire armature, painted and sealed with acrylics. At her roots, there are many tiger's eye stones atop a removable polished geod. Many glistening beads hang from her leaves, which are strips of knotted cotton cloth. An array of hand painted details decorate this sculpture. She stands approximately 11" high and her base is approx. 5".
