She visits this spot at dusk twice a week. Nobody knows where she disappears to, but they know enough to never ever ask her. It is serene here, in this soft grass by the pond, and she lets her mind wander, pondering all the what if and should have beens. And then she glances down into the water, past the ripples of light on the surface, to see her friend reaching up to her to share in her secret meditations.
This is an original miniature painting done in acrylic and pencil on Strathmore Bristol. It is signed and dated on the back.
