The Darkling is a collaged self representation. I feel that the darkness holds great beauty and magic, because of its mysteries, its silence, and its depth. I do find it to be fearsome and frightening at times, as well, and am adement that this adds to its power over me, the darkling. This is an original collaged ACEO (Art Cards, Editions, and Originals) based on Strathmore Bristol. The fairy is hand drawn and colored, and I have used other media such as silks, feathers, paint and papers to create this tiny work of art. This piece is sealed for protection and is signed and dated on the back.
