She once was a maiden of the land, now banished forever to the unforgiving sea for something we will not discuss here. As a cruel joke, a witch had cast a spell over her to give her the strength to survive the waters~ beautiful glistening scales, strong as diamonds. But they are clear, a reminder of her life on the land, and setting her apart from the other merfolk. This is an original collaged ACEO (Art Cards, Editions, and Originals). I have hand drawn the mermaid with Prismacolor pencils on Strathmore Bristol. Her scales are layers of irridecent and textured papers. Other media includes feathers, different papers, and paint. This one of a kind piece is based on Strathmore Bristol and is signed and dated on the back.
