Another addition to my fabric aceo series, this is mermaid #2- She swims right up to you, hair floating all over, a slightly coy look on her pretty face... This is an original ACEO (Art Cards, Editions, and Originals)- done in fabric! I have hand sketched the mermaid face and arms onto muslin, then painted her with layers of acrylic washes. Many assorted fabrics were used, sewn into place with the aide of my trusty sewing machine! Other embellishments include brightly colored plastic buttons and some glass beads, a bit of ribbon, and a pinch of magic. :) There are work in progress pictures of an earlier fabric aceo here in my facebook album, so if you like, you can see the process!
