The best advice I've come across about creating is "To create what you want to look at..." I love to look at work that is ambiguous and suggestive; work that leaves room for the imagination of the viewer. Thus I aspire to create something I've never seen, something I define as strange and otherly.
My art is ever changing and evolving based upon my recent research, discoveries and inspirations. I draw upon the symbolism and mythology of many ancient and present cultures, seeking to create a universal visual language of my own. I am fascinated with mythology, archetypes, ancient civilizations, divination, and mysticism.
My work may include layers of my handmade paper, handcast paper, found objects, recycled materials, paint, inks, mica and metallic powders, polymer clay, fabric and hand decorated paper. Thank you so much for taking the time to look!
